Is MEDvidi worth it? The short answer
Our verdict
MEDvidi suits you if you want a provider who looks at stress, sleep and eating habits, not just your BMI, and you would rather fill a brand-name prescription at your own pharmacy. You pay per visit and buy the medication separately, which can cost far more than the visit. Price the pen at your pharmacy before you book.
- Good for: You want brand-name Ozempic, Wegovy or the Rybelsus tablet from a pharmacy you already use
- Look elsewhere if: You want medication included in one monthly price

Where this comes from →What it does well, and what to watch
What we like
- Brand-name Ozempic, Wegovy and the Rybelsus tablet, filled at the pharmacy you choose
- No membership: you pay for a visit only when you book one
- Video visits with a provider who also looks at stress, sleep and eating patterns
- Your portal tracks the prescription and lets you switch pharmacies if one is out of stock
What to watch
- The visit fee is not the medication: you pay the pharmacy for the drug, and the full cash price of a brand-name pen is high
- It does not accept insurance for visits, and it gives no refund if a pharmacy will not fill or stock your prescription
- Canceling inside eight hours costs a $50 fee, and a no-show costs $100
- Prescriptions go to the pharmacy you choose, and no dispensing pharmacy is named
Who MEDvidi suits, and who should look elsewhere
A good fit if
- You want brand-name Ozempic, Wegovy or the Rybelsus tablet from a pharmacy you already use
- You prefer paying per visit to a monthly membership

Look elsewhere if
- You want medication included in one monthly price
- You want your visit covered by insurance
- You live in a state that requires an in-person visit for weight-loss medication
How MEDvidi works, start to finish
MEDvidi, Inc. is a telehealth practice built around mental health care that also runs a weight-loss service.
More about how it works
You create an account, book a video appointment, and a licensed provider (MD, DO, NP or PA) assesses your health, including stress, sleep and eating patterns, and may prescribe brand-name semaglutide (Ozempic, Wegovy or the Rybelsus tablet), tirzepatide (Mounjaro, Zepbound) or another weight-loss medication. Prescriptions go to the pharmacy you pick, and the portal lets you track them or switch pharmacies. There is no membership; you pay per visit. It says some states require an in-person visit for weight-loss medication.
- Create an account, fill in basic information and book a video appointment.
- A licensed provider assesses your health, history, habits and mental health.
- If appropriate, the prescription goes to the pharmacy you choose.
- Track it in your portal, or switch pharmacies if one is out of stock.
- Book follow-up visits to adjust your plan and renew prescriptions.

Questions people ask about MEDvidi
Can MEDvidi prescribe semaglutide in every state?
Not always online. It says some states require an in-person visit before weight-loss medication can be prescribed, so ask its care team about your state before you book.
Does MEDvidi include the medication?
No. The visit fee covers the consultation only. Your prescription goes to the pharmacy you pick, and you pay for the medication there, with insurance or in cash.
Does MEDvidi take insurance?
Not for its visits. It says it is working with insurers and will tell patients when that changes. Your own insurance may still apply to the medication at your pharmacy.
What if I miss my MEDvidi appointment?
A no-show is charged a fee and is not refunded, and so is a cancellation inside eight hours. Fees must be paid before you can book again.
