Editorial policy
Semawise publishes evidence-based reviews. Every medical or efficacy claim is tied to a primary source (peer-reviewed research or official labeling). We disclose affiliate relationships. They never change what we write about a provider or the prices we report — what they do change is the order our ranked lists appear in, where affiliate partners are placed ahead of the providers we have no commercial relationship with. We may earn a commission from some links, and both halves of that are set out in full on the page about how this site makes money. Corrections are made promptly and noted.
One rule governs every number on this site: we never print a price we did not see rendered on the provider's own page. Prices are read in a browser rather than taken from a dataset, each one is published with the qualifier attached to it — which dose it covers, whether it is compounded or the brand product, and whether it is an introductory month, a prepay rate or the rate you keep paying — and where a provider publishes nothing, we say so instead of estimating. That is why a figure here sometimes disagrees with the one a comparison site quotes. The people behind those checks, and how to reach them with a correction, are on our about page.
