Is WeightCare worth it? The short answer

Our verdict

WeightCare is for you if you want a physician you can message any time and a bill that stays put as your dose climbs. The month-to-month rate is steep next to the three-month starter plan, so if you are new, price both. Cancel before your renewal date, because refunds mostly end once you submit the questionnaire.

  • Good for: You are new to GLP-1s and can pay for your first three months up front
  • Look elsewhere if: You live in Alaska, Hawaii, Louisiana or Mississippi

$399 a month for compounded semaglutide month to month, which WeightCare says does not rise at any dose; the visit, medication, unlimited physician messaging and shipping are included.

What it does well, and what to watch

What we like

  • The month-to-month price does not change as your dose goes up, so titrating never raises the bill
  • Unlimited messaging with your physician and monthly check-ins are part of the plan, with a nutritionist and health coach on hand
  • No membership fee: the visit, medication and shipping are in the one price
  • A full refund if the physician decides you are not a candidate, or if you ask before submitting the questionnaire

What to watch

  • Month to month costs much more than the three-month plan, and that cheaper plan is only for new patients at starter doses
  • No pharmacy is named: prescriptions go to an accredited U.S. pharmacy it does not identify
  • Refunds generally stop once your questionnaire is submitted, and time already billed is never pro-rated
  • Not available in Alaska, Hawaii, Louisiana or Mississippi, and its product page also lists Alabama

Who WeightCare suits, and who should look elsewhere

A good fit if

  • You are new to GLP-1s and can pay for your first three months up front
  • You want unlimited messaging with your physician and a monthly check-in
  • You expect to move up the dose ladder and want the price to stay the same

Look elsewhere if

  • You live in Alaska, Hawaii, Louisiana or Mississippi
  • You want to know which pharmacy fills your prescription before you pay
  • You would rather have brand-name Wegovy, which it does not sell

How WeightCare works, start to finish

Weightless Medical LLC runs WeightCare, an online weight-loss program: you pay first, fill in a health questionnaire, and a board-certified physician reviews it, with a same-day telehealth visit.

More about how it works

If approved, an accredited U.S. pharmacy ships compounded semaglutide or tirzepatide in cold packaging, usually 5 to 7 business days after the prescription is written. The pharmacy is not named. Membership includes unlimited messaging with your physician, monthly check-ins, anti-nausea medication if needed, a coaching app and access to a nutritionist and health coach. It serves every state except Alaska, Hawaii, Louisiana and Mississippi (its product page also excludes Alabama), and it sells no brand-name GLP-1.

  1. Choose a monthly or three-month plan and pay at checkout.
  2. Fill in the medical questionnaire about your health and weight goals.
  3. A board-certified physician reviews it and connects with you the same day.
  4. Once approved, an accredited pharmacy ships in cold packaging, usually 5 to 7 business days.
  5. Seven days before each renewal you get a reminder, then a refill check-in.

Questions people ask about WeightCare

Does WeightCare charge more at a higher dose?

No. Its standard plans carry no price increase as your dose goes up each month, so your bill at the top of the ladder matches the one you started on.

Who can use WeightCare's three-month plan?

New patients on starter doses. It works out much cheaper per month than month-to-month, but you pay all three months at checkout, and Affirm financing is offered on it.

How do I cancel WeightCare?

Email support with CANCEL in the subject line, or follow the steps in your patient portal, before your next renewal date. Canceling stops future charges but does not refund time already billed.

Which states does WeightCare not serve?

Alaska, Hawaii, Louisiana and Mississippi, and its semaglutide product page adds Alabama. Check your state before you start the questionnaire.

How long does WeightCare take to ship?

Usually 5 to 7 business days from the time your prescription is written, in a box with ice packs. Track the package so you can refrigerate it on arrival.
